Welcome to a joint session of the National Assembly on the 2017 National #BudgetHearing
The 2017 budget hearing takes place from Today, Monday 13th February to Wednesday 15th February.
Senate President, and Speaker, Yakub Dogara arrives for the 2017 Budget Hearing. Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah takes the official prayers to declare open the joint session on the #BudgetHearing.
Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje delivers his opening speech.
The Budget Hearing aims at making the National Budgeting process an all inclusive activity for Nigerians. It will also create for analysis, discourse and enlightenment on the basic recommendation and budget policies of the Nation.
Budget Hearing will shape discourse on fiscal, financial and economic assumptions used as basis in arriving at total estimated expenditure.The forum on Budget Hearing will be used for the collation of views and positions with a view to making general Legislative contribution.

"The 2017 Budget is designed to expand the capacity between the public and the Private sector" Good news is, in 2016 oil price was $43/barrel and in 2017 it is projected to be $51/barrel
